Ability to change Github export branch

Just saying that it would be nice if we could change our “Export to Github” branch instead of it being glitch every time. For example, we could export master branch or even something custom. As somebody who exports a lot, this would definitely help me out and others would probably benifit too.

Just export everyday :ok_hand:

You have my vote. But, this could also lead to people doing things such as, exporting to master which could cause a lot of problems such as, inserting viruses, or even adding code injectors. This is especially bad if it is a package because then you basically get control over whoever uses the package. It takes one command to publish.

… how would someone do that exactly? I mean, it’s been possible to do this since the beginning of time, it is normal, like, the lodashs typo virus that was discovered on npm the other day, it uploaded personal details to a private github repo, thankfully it’s been taken down, but, it is normal, and the chance of this happening is slim, because often times it can be quite obvious with obfuscated code.

I am talking about team projects. This would allow them to actually edit the master repo. And some people like to use the master version of packages and they are at risk.

It’s going to be complicated for Glitch because then they’ll have to deal with errors like the master branch is many commits ahead, there’s no upstream branch, would you like to run git fetch periodically, remote not found, permission denied, etc.

It’s just more clicking buttons, I guess
