Ability to find a line of code in all the project

i suggest for glitch to add a way to search for a line of code on all the project.

like a search bar where you type "const test = “require(“test”)” it will find that line in all files

so i dont have to download my project and use winrar to find a line LoL

Actually, you can do that using Glitch.

  1. In the search bar at the top of the editor, type in the expression that you want to search. When you do, you’ll see a button that says ‘search files for’.

  1. Click on it, and then it will show you all the line numbers where the expression you searched can be found, across all the files of your project.

That being said, I’m going to recategorize this post to #glitch-help!

Hope this helps!

You can also type cmd-f or ctrl-f to open the search bar, and cmd-L or ctrl-L to jump to a line.

If I remember correctly, Ctrl + f only searches in the current file.

Yea it can only search text on the current page.

Oh, I didn’t know the top search bar was global!

Ah, I misread this as “all the projects”, as in, ‘search all of your projects for a certain piece of code’… which would be a neat feature.

But thanks @khalby786 for pointing out that OP’s thing already exists :+1:

To be honest, that same thing happened to me.
