We all(well not nesscarily) have the moment where, oops you accidentally opened a binary file, and the editor starts lagging. I propose that glitch try to guess whether your file is a binary file(checking headers, guessing mimetypes, etc…), and create a dialog if a user accidentally opens the binary file saying “Are you sure you want to open this binary file?”
This option can be disabled through the settings and can be stopped through shift clicking the file.

Instead of writing a post for a single suggestion and getting only a little bit of support, I’m going to write a post with multiple suggestions and see how that goes.
