Disable text selection Auto-scroll

So um, recently a new update was pushed where the whole text editor scrolls up or down based on your text position. I find the update somewhat inconvenient and some may find it too.
I’d love to see a feature that lets the user disable the text auto-scroll-

Odd scrolling behavior in the editor

I’m noticing that when I click on a line in a file in the Editor, the editor window seems to either scroll up or down to center that line, making it difficult to select blocks of code. Is anyone else seeing this? I just noticed it this afternoon, and had never seen it before.
