I’ve heard a lot of rumors lately that you guys force a project to go offline randomly. Particularly from the discord.js community. I have not had that issue yet but speaking to others about it is concerning. I want to use enmap but the creator herself also said that it is not wise to use on glitch because of these forced shutdowns … Can someone confirm or deny this???
Check out our info on “technical restrictions”:
https://glitch.com/help/restrictions/
While we want to keep Glitch as open as possible, there are a few restrictions in place. These are there to help maintain service levels for all, and to stop someone’s accidental infinite loop somehow costing us a small fortune. The restrictions include:
- Projects sleep after 5 minutes if they are not used, and those running for more than 12 hours are stopped. They wake again when they receive another HTTP request.
Here is a great thread with more info:
you CAN force projects to shutdown, if you spam the project url then it will get too much ram and crash.
