i get this error and the page doesnt load, then after a while alls fine…

do we have any intel that error 495 is related to rate limiting?
oh I misread! 429 is rate limiting right, 495 is ssl! sorry about that.
Make sure your computer’s set to automatically get the time from somewhere: SSL is incredibly sensitive to clock mismatches, so if your computer’s off by even a few seconds, that’s enough for SSL handshakes to fail.

this isn’t an SSL problem between user’s computer and the outermost server though. that connection is verified and working, with this http error successfully being delivered through that connection
theres no answers on the internet. i started again from scratch and now its happening again.
tried to contact support but redirected to fastly support, and they dont know much.
glitch support is not responding.
im afraid im going to need a refund.
That’s not something anyone in the forum will be able to help you with - account matters require emailing support@glitch.com, which is indeed Fastly support because they own Glitch. The support team is trying to respond as fast as they can, but they’ve been hit hard recently by several factors that have lead to longer than usual response times. As frustrating as that is, you’re still going to have to go through them.
That said, this may also be your project getting blocked by the hosting infrastructure because the request pattern is unusual (e.g. you’re not hitting a rate limit but your project could still be getting flagged as potential platform abuse) but that’s something that support would have to look into.
I noticed you deleted your project and created a new one - does that one still have the 495 problem?
