How do project hours work?

So, project hours are a thing now. It’s Aug 1st. So do you have 1,000 project hours to keep your projects online basically for 1,000 hours/month or is 1,000/hours of project viewing the limit? I’m confused.

Edit: basically is the 1,000 project hours like an “Always On” but only for 1,000 hours of the month?

I read the glimmer post and I’m still confused because it talks about boosted apps and stuff relating to the project hours!!

Always on is for boosters. The hours are to stop people from hosting 24/7

No, it means that your project can only be up for 1000 hours. But they will continue to put projects to sleep unless your project is static. Static projects will have the “STATIC SITE” badge on your dashboard.
