I am using fs.writeFile() and the sidebar does not update I know it worked because I used the terminal is there anyway to update the sidebar? More importantly does this affect retrieving the file?
For this you should use refresh command as Glitch dosen’t update files itself. Just type that command in terminal and it should work.
