Is there a way for me to save temporary data?

I would like to have a specific path where everyone could make a get request and receive a qr code image. For me to do that, ideally, I would save the image to a TEMP directory and from there serve it, whether it’s a download or just the image itself.
Is there a directory that gets deleted every time the server shuts down?
Thanks in advance.

I believe the /tmp directory is for that purpose.
