Node is pretty cool and very quick and easy to get into - hence the whole point of HyperDev I guess!! however will there be other backend technologies? perhaps python, Go or even asp.net core!

So while maybe not officially supported it certainly seems to be possible to use other backends.
Yes, we plan to add support for different backends - it’s something we’re working on as a priority.
