Unable to Upload or View Assets After Relocating to France

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Glitch without any issues while I was in Morocco, including the ability to upload and manage assets like images and videos within my projects. However, after moving to France, I’m experiencing a problem where I can no longer upload new assets, and existing ones do not display correctly in the assets folder (see screenshot below).

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Attempted to upload different types of files (images, videos, etc.)
  • Cleared my browser cache and tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox)
  • Used a different internet connection, but the issue persists

The assets display as broken (e.g., no previews or icons) and cannot be accessed or used. I’ve attached a screenshot showing how the assets appear in my projects since relocating to France.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, especially after changing locations or countries? Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your help!

do you know what your service provider is?

can you open an image in a new tab and see if it gives you a web page with more information

I actually just went through this journey with my own ISP here on the West Coast of the US! In case the process I went through is helpful at all:

I moved across town and found my new provider was blocking cdn.glitch.global. I noticed that the error I was getting in Firefox when I tried to load an HTTPS URL to our CDN was actually about an invalid SSL certificate, so I swapped the URL over to using HTTP instead and sure enough, it redirected to https://block.cloud.lionic.com/blockpage/malicious.html. I was eventually able to find the page where Lionic accepts reports of false positives and did so for Glitch, and after a great deal of trouble found the setting in my ISP’s modem settings that let me turn off the feature, and now I have access again.

The block could be happening somewhere that you don’t have access to, but (as in my case) it might also just be a bit of an arcane process to figure out.
