What exactly are static sites?

I’m really looking forward to the next update, on August 1. But I’m still confused, what are static sites?

Are ‘hello-express’ projects included?

For I have 2 express projects that show HTML, but without the extension (instead of “/topics.html”, “/topics” redirects you to the “topics.html” file) (Ya know, express.)

A website that only run code on the frontend is a static-website.
If you need to run code on the server-side (ex: hello-express), it’s not a static website.
