it’s clear that project hosting ends on july 8th and that project downloads will be possible through the rest of the year, but will it be possible to download cdn.glitch.com (and .global) files after july 8th?

So far there’s no confirmation that assets will be available after July 8th.

if the team can pass on my strong consideration that assets can be downloadable as long as project code can, i would appreciate it - it would be a huge shame for folks to assume they can get their projects and then that not be the case for cdn-dependent projects.
at the very least there should be a very visible table of dates marking each deadline event on the blog post and in here.

I can confirm that assets will be around for as long as backups are because they better be, that’s people’s projects. It might take until next week to get that explicitly worked into the official texts, but until then, consider this an official response.
Where the announcement reads “Your Glitch dashboard will be available through the end of 2025 with code downloads for all of your projects”, that means you’ll be able to download both your project source code as tgz file, and the assets your project relies on via the glitch-assets file.
