"Your app is taking a while to stop..."

I’m getting the following error on my project:

"Your app is taking a while to stop..."

After I make changes to my project, the circle is just spinning spinning spinning. Eventually, after about 10 minutes, it does update and I can open the site. But it takes abnormally long. Wasn’t like this until two or so days ago.

Hey @scottlieber,

Glitch is facing some issues with static pages that cause them not to work. A fix is being deployed.

@khalby786 I appreciate your response. I’m a bit confused though because my app is a MERN app, not static pages. And the problem is it’s unable to compile or update or finish incorporating the edits I am making on the backend. The update wheel never stops spinning, and as a result the actual app/page can’t be displayed, and I can’t see my changes and see if they’re working, etc.

Thanks for that information!

While it is not happening globally, I wouldn’t be surprised if some updates are being affected. If - after we fix this issue - you still get the dreaded spinning wheel, definitely let us know here and we will take a closer look.

In the meantime, we really appreciate your patience!
