Help with Ports

Hi There,

I’m starting to use ports, and I’m quite confused. I tried using the port 3000, but I get this error:
listen tcp :3000: bind: address already in use

I’m trying to connect an application, running on my pc to my glitch project, but the port is not working. I’ve done some research, and people are talking about port 8080, but I’m getting conflicting opinions because apparently this port is locked/not able to be used.

Is anyone able to assist me?

I’ve already seen that thread, and I’m confused - Because I don’t have any other code using the port. I also try and point my code to point 8080, but it just goes carries on using 3000. (I’ve tested this locally on my machine and it works seamlessly)
