Http error 495 on every glitch site

Hey everyone! The backend to my websites just stopped working out of nowhere! None of my websites work anymore and are fluctuating - at first I thought it was my codes fault but it works locally! Help?

495 means there’s an ssl error happening somewhere. is your project using a custom domain or calling an api that’s perhaps down? it’s worth emailing support@glitch.com with the name of the project(s) not working and the error you see - that screenshot is client side, so whatever the logs in the editor says.

This is likely due to some final maintenance around yesterday’s incident. It should have been extremely brief in nature, but we’re still sorry for the surprise :frowning:

Give it time and the issue will be fixed.

This is happening pretty regularly for all of my students – it happens to them all at the same time, and usually lasts for just a couple minutes. Any suggestions?

hi @Claudia_Mihm - can you confirm that it’s a 495 error? it sounds like your students may be facing a different error, related to rate limiting. one thing you can do is have them turn off auto refresh in the editor which will minimize requests. there’s more info about in their help doc here: GlitchHelpCenter

i get it too, it comes and goes…
