is anyone else having this issue where the package.json file is not overwritten properly?

failed replacement of old package.json with new one, basically, the contents are cloned and appended back to package.json
Nope, my package.json looks good.
Could it have something to do with the projects getting corrupted?
happens on all my projects…
any time i hit format file/ install/update something, it happens
Seems to be a prettier issue…
