Terminal is not working

Hi y’all,
My terminal isn’t loading for my project and I am not sure why. Could someone please help me?
Thanks,
Aryan Kini

You should reach out to support@glitch.com and they can investigate.

Or you can try this method:

@EddiesTech and @RiversideRocks, thanks for the advice. Eddies Tech, I did what you said and it took me a website that said JSON on top and Request Code 400. What does that mean?

Can @RiversideRocks check that that method still works?

I could check right now, I wrote it a while ago…

Still works for me, just takes a while to load. @EddiesTech

Hmm… did you follow all the steps correctly?

Yeah I did follow all of the steps

You should email support@glitch.com in that case.

Do you know how long it will take for them to reply? This website is for a brand new nonprofit and I need it working fast.

Maybe 1-2 days?

Wait really that long

Better than most free or maybe paid hosting support

Not saying that it’s bad or anything, it’s just that I am time crunched right now

Hello!

I wanted to give a general update about terminal not working.

In the past two weeks, we have been consistently receiving a handful of reports from folks that the terminal is not responding in their project. In nearly every case, the issue appears to resolve itself before we respond. (fyi: in most cases, Glitch responds to support requests within 24 business hours). So it has been difficult to figure out the root cause of the issue.

So here is what to do if your terminal is not responding:

  • Give it a little bit of time. In some cases, it can take the terminal up to 20 seconds to respond. However, it should not take longer than a minute.
  • If you have waited longer than a minute for the terminal to load and it has not, you have two options:
  1. If you can wait 24 hours, close your project and check it the following day to see if the terminal is now responding.
  2. If you do not want to wait 24 hours to see if the issue resolves itself, you can contact support via the Help Center. If you do this, please let us know the name of your project and the last thing you remember doing before the terminal stopped responding. Hopefully this will give us some clues as to why this is happening in the first place.
