When I want to clone a GitHub repository, Glitch does nothing, just interprets as if I had created a new project without adding anything
Hello, @Noctaletz and welcome to the Glitch Forum!
Iâve just moved your topic to the #glitch-help category as it should get noticed there quicker.
Could you also share the repository youâre trying to clone?
Hi @Noctaletz,
I am sorry that you ran into this bug! Currently, the âClone from Git Repoâ option in the New Project menu is not working properly. Our team is aware and will be rolling out a fix after the New Years holiday.
In the meantime, you can use this workaround:
- Click New Project and then select any other option that best matches the type of project you are importing/creating.
- Once you have created the project, go into the Editor and click on the Tools menu on the bottom, left side of the page.
- Select âGit, Import and Exportâ option.
- Select âImport from GitHubâ
Thanks for your patience, and let us know if you need additional help!
Hi @Noctaletz,
This bug has been fixed. You should now be able to use the âClone from Git Repoâ option in the âNew Projectâ drop-down menu.
If it still does not work for you, please let us know!
