Background: I’m experimenting with glitch as an easier hosting environment for federated wiki.
Project: Glitch :・゚✧
When wiki-wiki is remixed, we generate a new flag automatically via a postinstall script:
Combining automated deployment, instant hosting & collaborative editing, Glitch gets you straight to coding so you can build full-stack web apps, fast
Can we also automate uploading a copy of that flag to replace the glitch avatar?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey @chroventer the problem we have is that the current API endpoints are too risky for us to publicize as they are. They’re not designed to handle arbitrary requests from the world wide web; just to handle carefully constructed ones from within our own systems.
We have tasks in our backlog to design a community-facing API that we can fully document and support long-term, but until that’s ready we don’t have anything we’re comfortable telling the community about. When we do have something ready…
Hello!
I noticed how cool Glitch’s project pictures are, and how awesome it would be to have a bot that generated random ones for use. I was wondering if there was an API or code that you guys use to generate an image for projects and if it was open for public use. I have a Discord bot called Rando that has a bunch of random generators, and it would be amazing if I could add a Glitch Project Picture generator to it!
If not, I can just grab a bunch of images to use and credit you guy…

Hi @dobbs , welcome to the Glitch Forums!
As I noted in the first reply you linked to, we do not have a published API. We plan to release one as soon as we have resources to devote to it, but do not have a timeline as to when that might be the case.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Cheers;

Thanks, @cori . I thought that might be the case. I also thought it might be helpful to know a specific API and use case.
