Hello folks, happy Friday! It’s almost 60 F in NYC today which is absolutely wild to me - anyone else here experiencing abnormal weather that actually makes you want to go outside and enjoy nature (ie. pigeons on the street)?

glitch seems like it’s in a unique position to bring new users into the fediverse. it has the easiest user experience for launching a small app with its own backend and I feel like with that it would really be close to making a push-button “launch an instance just for me” kind thing possible. I wonder if glitch would be interested in making an official starter like they did with glitch in bio

Yeah awesome idea! It would probably be difficult to integrate with mastodon (e.g. how would glitch handle emails), but I think ActivityPub that mastodon supports would be a great option.

I don’t know if this is the same thing, but I’ve found several single instance apps in my research looking at community-created ActivityPub apps on Glitch, so that already exists!!
